Woman allegedly rams vehicle, damages windshield in Shreveport hit-and-run

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is seeking the public’s help in locating a woman for allegedly ramming her vehicle into another and striking the windshield the following morning.

On Aug. 5, at approximately 1:29 p.m., officers responded to a traffic accident. Police say the collision appeared intentional after security camera footage showed a gray Ford Escape allegedly leaving its lane of travel and intentionally striking the front of the victim’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.

Investigators say that 28-year-old Katelyn Renee Smith was involved in an ongoing personal dispute with the victim. The following morning, Aug. 6, at approximately 4:38 a.m., Smith allegedly went to the victim’s apartment complex and caused additional damage to the windshield with a blunt object…
