CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA) – The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office (CPDAO) says a Shreveport man has been found guilty of second-degree murder of a man he’d known most of his life.
Dewayne Wilkinson, 23, was found guilty at trial in Caddo District Court on August 20 of the shooting and killing of Laroyce Daniel Brown.
The jury deliberated for 30 minutes before returning its unanimous guilty-as-charged verdict, says the CPDAO.
When Wilkinson goes back to court September 21, he faces a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.
