Shreveport man’s conviction, double life sentences upheld

SHREVEPORT, La. – The conviction and two life sentences handed down against a Shreveport man who killed the mother of his three children and her mother were affirmed Wednesday by the Second Circuit Court of Appeal.

The defendant, Donald Dewayne White II, said Caddo District Judge Donald Hathaway Jr. was wrong to allow him to represent himself. He also argued his confrontation rights were violated by the admission of other crimes and bad acts evidence in the form of hearsay testimony.
