For the first time since LSU in Shreveport economist Douglas White started keeping the numbers for his quarterly regional economic dashboard, he is concerned. In the measured words of an economist, the data has given him “pause.”
“It’s the first time that I’ve been comfortable saying that I think the data kind of shows that the economy seems to be slowing,” said White, the director of the Center for Business and Economic Research at LSU-S. Since 2022, he has collected data for the Northwest Louisiana Economic Dashboard.
