Louisiana National Guard to host groundbreaking ceremony for housing barracks at Camp Minden on January 31st

MINDEN, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m., the Louisiana National Guard will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Collective Training and Unaccompanied Housing, Open-Bay Barracks Project at Camp Minden in Minden, La., located at 100 Louisiana Blvd.

The multi-dollar project will support up to 170 service members with bunks, private quarters, a dining facility and kitchen, administration offices, and a supply area.

In addition, it will support logistical and operational activities during training and all-hazard missions. The upgrade will improve the quality of life for Camp Minden soldiers and units conducted at the facility.
