At 8:18 AM CDT, Doppler radar detected thunderstorms producing heavy rain across these areas, with 2 to 4 inches of rainfall already reported. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is possible, potentially leading to flash flooding in urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, and low-lying areas. Residents are urged to avoid flooded roads and to remember that most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
