82nd NAACP Louisiana State Conference coming to Shreveport in September

The Louisiana NAACP State President is touring Shreveport, Bossier City to inform community members that the organization’s 82nd statewide conference is coming in September.

President Michael McClanahan said they are spreading the word through local churches.

“We want people to come out and get the benefit of being the part of something special,” McClanahan shared. “Advocacy work and civil rights is something special. It’s God’s work, and we want people to know it’s the work they can all be a part of.”

The conference will be held next month from Thursday, September 26th, through Saturday, September 28th, Hotel and Casino in Bossier City.
