Teen shooter sentenced in deadly shootout at Tinseltown theater in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – One of the teenagers involved in the deadly shooting spree at a Shreveport movie theater back in 2021 has been sentenced for his crimes. On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Ikerryunt’a Vernell Stewart, now 20, was sentenced by a local judge to more than a century in prison. Stewart pleaded guilty in Caddo District Court back on May 6. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter and eight counts of attempted second-degree murder.
