Bossier Parish man sentenced to 18 years in 2022 deadly homicide

BENTON, La. – A Bossier Parish man who killed one man and injured another in a drive-by shooting in 2022 has been sentenced to prison in Bossier District Court. Dawson Lee Driskill, 47, pleaded guilty last week to an amended charge of manslaughter. A Bossier Parish grand jury had indicted him for first-degree murder, but the charge was amended to second-degree murder in August by another grand jury.
