SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – We are just days from the 48th annual Independence Bowl. Having begun in 1976, it is one of the longest-running bowl games in the country. “We’re really excited for this game. It’s been a long year of prepping for this game,” Independence Bowl spokesman Erik Evenson said. “And as we come up on our 50th in a couple years, we just try to improve.”
