While the timing of the storm is still fluctuating, Ryan Hall (and other forecasters, including the National Weather Service) are convinced that temperatures will be dropping below freezing through East Texas and North Louisiana. In fact, some of the models shown by Hall in his video suggest those freezing temperatures will reach all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. That means New Orleans has a chance to see snow…or other wintery precipitation.

Hall talks about it in the video, we’re still far enough out that the exact line of moisture-meets-freeze is not predicable. Which is why he’s not definitively saying Shreveport will see snow, but rather that there’s a “good chance” for Shreveport to see some…
