318 Weekend celebrates culture, music, food, fashion of area code

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Billy Anderson, organizer for 318 Weekend, speaks on how the event aims to elevate the area’s culture and support local artists and talents.

On March 15 at 12 p.m. through the 16 at 11 p.m., the 3rd annual 318 Weekend celebrations return with an impressive lineup of events celebrating the area code’s culture, music, food, and fashion at the Caddo Common Park, 869 Texas Avenue, and at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium Grounds, 705 Grand Avenue.

March 15

  • 1 a.m. – 7 a.m. 3rd Annual 318 Day Festival: A vibrant free-to-attend celebration of local culture and live music, food trucks, nonprofit organizations, and visual artists, highlighting Shreveport’s talent and creativity. Resources will also be available for attendees at the event.

During the event, live music and art vendors can be enjoyed by attendees, including some visual artists like Paige Powell, Victoria Ron Brown, and artists from Bossier City. Also, 318 taquerias and popular pistolettes will be available for festival-goers to enjoy.
