Man given life sentence for shooting, killing Shreveport convenience store clerk in 2022

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A man from Shreveport has been sentenced for shooting and killing a convenience store clerk back in 2022, the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office says.

The DA’s office announced Friday, April 11 that Damion Daron Sherfield, 23, was sentenced to life in prison Tuesday, April 8. This mandatory life sentence is for the shooting death of Roderick Walker, 29, and must be served without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
