Retired train conductor discusses possible reason for train to derail in downtown Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Eleven train cars were derailed Monday afternoon (April 14). All of the cars were empty, and no hazardous materials were spilled or released, SFD officials say.

KSLA’s Steven Maxwell spoke with Jason Turcyn, a retired engineer and conductor for CSX railroad, to find out what could be the possible cause for the derailment.
