Drag racing call leads to police chase, arrests in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Several arrests were made Easter Sunday in Shreveport after a call about drag racing led to a police chase involving a stolen SUV.

The Shreveport Police Department says on Sunday, April 20 just after 6:20 p.m., an officer and his K-9, Edy, were patrolling the 6500 block of Kennedy Street after getting complaints about drag racing in the area. While patrolling, they spotted a stolen Dodge Durango and tried to pull it over.

Police say the driver didn’t stop, leading police on a chase, which ended near the intersection of Missouri Avenue and Greenwood Road. The chase ended when the Durango crashed in several trees and the fence at Shreveport Fire Department Station 8…
