The nation’s top retailer is making plans to stay on top with intentions of remodeling more than 650 of their retail locations across the US. Walmart has already invested over $402 million in store upgrades just in Louisiana.
Walmart has already done a ‘refresh’ on their Airline Drive Walmart Supercenter in 2024, and just announced plans to remodel/refresh two Walmart Neighborhood Markets in Bossier, the 4000 Barksdale Blvd location, and the store at 5700 Shed Road.

According to a recent press release, Walmart shared their plans for the store upgrades, some of which include a new look with big, bold signage- exciting new displays to better showcase merchandise. They will also be expanding the increasingly popular online pickup and delivery service, as well as remodeling the pharmacy to include privacy checkout areas and private screening rooms.

According to the press release, Walmart currently employs over 36,000 ‘associates’ in Louisiana, and they announced over 3.700 part-time workers were promoted to full-time positions, and Walmart paid out hundreds of millions of dollars in bonuses…
