Calling all taco enthusiast, the region’s largest taco and salsa festival is returning to Shreveport this weekend.
On April 26, the award-winning Taco Wars will return from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 26 to the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium. This event will feature delicious food from local taquerias , music and culture from the vibrant Hispanic community in Shreveport.
Participating Taquerias for 2025 include:

- La Potranca
- La Villa Taqueria
- Maria’s Kitchen
- Mi Meza Latin Cuisine
- Mi Mercadito
- Nicky’s Mexican Restaurant
- Ramirez Mexican Restaurant
- Taqueria El Eden
- Taqueria Flores
- Taqueria La Reyna Del Sur
- Taqueria Mi Palmar
- Taqueria San Miguel
These taquerias will be battling it out for the coveted Golden Taco (Best Taco) and the Golden Molcajete (Best Salsa). A panel of celebrity judges will determine the Best Taco winner, and attendees of the festival will be able to sample salsas for free and vote to help crown the Best Salsa winner.
