SWEPCO’s emergency outages over the weekend have customers angry — and some are worried about what they could portend for the coming summer months.
SWEPCO shut off power to tens of thousands of customers in Caddo and Bossier parishes on Saturday, an action required by a regional power manager to prevent damage to the grid. The utility didn’t give advanced notice of the outages, and many customers were without power for hours while the situation was resolved.
