The wait for Country Tavern Barbecue to open up has passed the four-year mark. Now, Shreveport is wondering if the once-booming BBQ spot will ever open its doors again.
Barbecue and steak lovers traveled to Shreveport just for Country Tavern’s meat options, those wonderful fried pickled spears, and those one-of-a-kind au gratin potatoes. On March 9th, 2024, the Country Tavern Facebook page claimed they were working with contractors to get the place up and running. They claimed that their entire facility was destroyed.
