Dripp Donuts fans will be glad to know that the restaurant has reopened with a sort-of-new name in a new location in Shreveport, bringing back fan favorites and adding new items to the menu.
Dripp Donuts was formerly located at 421 Market St. downtown and was forced to close in April 2024 because of structural issues with the location. That building was demolished in May 2024.
The newest version of the restaurant is named Dripp Donuts & Chicken and it’s in the South Highlands neighborhood. They will sell both baked goods and the popular Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich from the Dripp Chicken food truck.
Caleb and Michelle King are the owners and Jared Rinaudo is a partner and general manager. Caleb King, who grew up nearby, said, “It’s a great neighborhood…tons of dog walkers and people walking with their kids, and we’re excited for the foot traffic.”
Dripp’s soft opening began on May 1 but the full experience and full menu is not available just yet. “We’re starting to get the donuts, and we still have limited flavors, but at least we’re cooking and getting back in the swing of things,” King said…
