SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) –
Today is a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY due to widespread storms throughout a good portion of the day for Tuesday. It starts with a couple of stray and isolated groups of rain showers roaming across the ArkLaTex for the morning before bring widespread storms with heavy rainfall during the bulk of the daytime hours. Storms should slowly dry up once we reach the evening hours. The biggest threat we’re keeping track of is flash flooding with most locations here getting between an inch to three inches of rain. A few localized areas stuck under storms though could have rain totals at or above 5 inches of rain though. Other threats such as hail, strong winds, and even tornadoes are possible mainly for those in the southern half of the ArkLaTex. High temperatures will only reach the upper 60′s and lower 70′s after starting the morning in the lower 60′s.
A few stray showers are possible at any point in the day for Wednesday, but most of the day and region should look to be dry. None of these storms will look to be severe. High temperatures warm back up into the upper 70′s and lower 80′s after starting the morning in the lower 60′s…
