Public safety officials are responding to 911 calls across Caddo Parish after a severe thunderstorm and possible tornado passed through Shreveport on Tuesday afternoon.
Some area residents scrambled for shelter just before 4 p.m. when a tornado warning was issued. Sirens blared in downtown Shreveport near the time when cell phone warnings sounded.
The National Weather Service posted around that time: “If a tornado is on the ground in SW Shreveport, it is likely rain-wrapped. Moving northeast crossing Bert Kouns at Pines Road. Take cover now!”…
