Shreveport man convicted of attempted child molestation

SHREVEPORT, La. — A Caddo Parish jury today found Travis June, 35, of Shreveport, guilty of attempted molestation of a juvenile. The verdict came after more than two hours of deliberation in District Judge Ramona Emanuel’s court.

The case stemmed from an incident in October 2023, when June entered the bedroom of a 10-year-old female relative with his pants down, committed a lewd act, and offered the child $5 to remain silent. The victim disclosed the incident to a relative a month later, who then contacted the Shreveport Police Department.

During the trial, the victim testified, along with the relative, an advocate from the Gingerbread House, and two police officers.
