Shreveport Catholic community shares their thoughts on newly elected pope

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The Catholic Church now has a new leader as of Thursday, May 8.

As white smoke rose from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel announcing the 267 pontiff, Cardinal Robert Prevost was chosen to be pope and now serves the catholic community as Pope Leo XIV.
