SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – It will be a mild and mostly cloudy Monday before drier air brings several sunny days. We knew it was coming sooner or later, but this will be the week that gives us our first taste of Summer.
An area of low pressure continues to drift over the region today, keeping the weather mostly cloudy with the occasional rain shower or pockets of light drizzle. Expecting a few more rays of sunshine to break through today, sending our high temperatures into the 70s and low 80s this afternoon.
This area of low pressure, responsible for the rainy and cooler weather, is going to move northeast and away from us tonight. High pressure will strengthen tomorrow, bringing out mostly sunny skies and pushing highs into the upper 80s and low 90s.
The heat will build with highs in the mid-90s on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. It’s possible we could tie or break record highs for a day or two during this stretch…
