Caddo Parish April revenues show $1.42M less than the same time last year

(The Center Square) — An income statement through April 30 showed that Caddo Parish collected $1.42 million less in revenues than the same time last year.

The parish predicted revenue collections of $19.4 million, but the year to date actual revenue was less at $18.3 million. Significant revenue sources include ad valorem (property) taxes, licenses and permits, oil and gas severance tax and sports wagering.

Licenses and permit revenue surpassed the budget in three areas. The parish collected $20,075 from liquor licenses, which was $5,075 more than budget, $6,058 from beer licenses ($1,058 more than budget) and occupational licenses surpassed most of the three with $333,373, surpassing the budgeted amount by $58,373…
