SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue in the ArkLaTex this weekend. The good news is that rainfall should be rather limited and that severe weather is looking unlikely. Temperatures will stay close to normal.
Weekend temperatures: Temperatures this weekend should be pretty close to normal for this time of year, as lows both Saturday and Sunday mornings will be in the low to middle 70s over most of the area. Daytime highs this weekend will likely be in the lower 90s.
Rain chances are looking lower! Futurecast shows that any scattered showers and thunderstorms that develop across the ArkLaTex Friday afternoon will quickly dissipate after sunset Friday evening. Expect a mostly cloudy sky and mainly dry conditions Friday night. We will see a mix of sunshine and clouds during the day on Saturday with a somewhat slight chance for an isolated to scattered t’shower. We will dry out again on Saturday night and see the slight chance of rain return Sunday afternoon.

The heat intensifies next week: Most of next week is looking dry with a chance of rain continuing into Monday and returning once again next Thursday.
