Shreveport’s comic con, Geek’d Con, returns to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 10th Anniversary of Geek’d Con will be held at the Shreveport Convention Center, August 22nd-24th, 2025. The event is an amazing weekend where you can create once-in-a-lifetime moments with your favorite celebrities, shop from hundreds of vendor booths, and spend time with your friends & family.
Comic con style events happen all over the country now, and fans regularly travel out-of-town for these shows. Meaning Geek’d Con brings in a strong economic impact to the Shreveport-Bossier area.
It also means that many of the fans who attend these events know that celebrity guest cancellations are part of the process. When a guest gets booked for a new movie, or show, a play, or any other obligations, they sometimes have to withdraw from events. It happens every year.
Geek’d Con Lineup Change
Recently, Mortal Kombat actor Francois Petit had to cancel his appearance for Geek’d Con 2025. He was going to appear alongside fellow Mortal Kombat actor Chris Casamassa to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Mortal Kombat film. In the movie, Petit played Sub-Zero, and Casamassa played Scorpion.
But even with Petit no longer appearing at the event, the Mortal Kombat 30th anniversary celebration at Geek’d Con is still happening. Joining Scorpion actor Chris Casamassa will be Keith Cooke.
