Another round of storms for the 4th

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Scattered showers and storms will continue into the evening with the main threats being frequent lightning and torrential rainfall. Storms should gradually diminish overnight with warm and muggy conditions across the entire region.

Looking ahead to the 4th of July, we should start the day quiet but by afternoon, scattered showers and storms will develop once again. You don’t need to cancel your outdoor plans but just keep an eye on the sky during the afternoon. The good news is that any storms that develop should quickly diminish around sunset with mainly dry conditions expected for evening fireworks.

We dry out for the weekend and as a result, temperature will soar into the mid and upper 90s. Feels like temperatures will be well above 100 both Saturday and Sunday so use caution if spending time outside during the afternoon…
