Man charged in Shreveport Laurel Street hit-and-run death now believed intentional: Police say

An arrest has been made in connection with the hit-and-run that took a woman’s life on Laurel Street in Shreveport, and police now believe it was intentional.

According to police, Anthony Edwards was arrested and faces a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the death of Rosalind Jordan, 70, in the 2100 block of Laurel. Shreveport Police were called to the scene in the early morning of June 28.

Jordan’s body was found in a vacant parking lot, believed to have been struck while walking westbound on Laurel. Edwards was taken into custody in Claiborne Parish and has been interviewed by Shreveport detectives, who said he was known to the victim…
