SHREVEPORT, La. – It’s been almost two years since Caddo Parish Commissioner John-Paul Young, along with the Krewe of Highland and the Boy Scouts, helped bring new life to Highland Park.
Before the park got a little TLC, it was eroding. Mud covered the walkways, and every time it rained, it only got worse, but now that has changed.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Caddo Parish government received a grant for green infrastructure. Young knew Highland Park would be a perfect place to utilize some of the grant funds…
