Shreveport Man Gets Life Plus Ten Years for Drug Related Murder

A Shreveport man who was convicted in June for a drug-related murder just got handed a lengthy sentence.

22 year-old Lloyd Tremaine Cooks was found guilty of the murder of the 2022 murder of Jeremy Wyatt. The two met at a Shreveport gas station for a drug deal that turned deadly.

There were also additional charges that Cooks stood trial for pertaining to an aggravated battery.

Judge Chris Victory sentenced Cooks earlier this week.
