Shreveport started the speed zone camera program in school zones in September of 2022 when Adrian Perkins was Mayor. Lots of folks want to know where the money goes. We did a little digging and found out. The city partnered with Blue Line Solutions to install cameras in select school zones. The company provided the cameras and handles the issuing the tickets.
KEEL News has collected the data through the end of 2024 and have found that Shreveport has collected more than $5.5 million dollars in this program. Cameras are installed in 32 school zones in Shreveport.
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux has been a supporter of the program and says the city will follow the new law which just passed during the spring legislative session.
