Shreveport Police have arrested a repeat offender after a theft incident at Buckle, a clothing store at 7044 Youree Drive. On August 18, 2025, officers were called to the scene after a white male suspect was seen leaving the store without paying for merchandise.
Shreveport Theft Suspect Apprehended
A responding officer quickly located the suspect, James Parks, in the parking lot. When Parks saw the officer, he tried to re-enter the store. As the officer attempted to take him into custody, Parks began to struggle and fight with the officer.
A physical altercation ensued, lasting over a minute. To gain control of the situation and the suspect, the officer was forced to deploy her Taser. Parks was then successfully taken into custody without further incident.
Charges and Criminal History
Parks was arrested and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of theft and resisting an officer with force or violence. According to his record, this is not Parks’ first run-in with the law.
