Shreveport Police Arrest Three Men in City’s Latest Homicide

On Monday evening, Shreveport Police were called out to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to reports of a shooting.

When SPD got to the scene they found a woman later identified as Labriesha Patterson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics with the Shreveport Fire Department were called out to try and save the woman, but she sadly died a short time later.

Detectives with SPD’s Violent Crime Unit immediately started an investigation. Detectives scoured the neighborhood for any and all evidence, including camera footage . Police worked through the night and got leads to a possible suspect by the name of Deceldrion Gay.

Gay was found and taken in to custody. He was taken to the Violent Crimes Office for an interview where SPD obtained information leading to two more suspects. The VCAT Unit went out once again to pick up these two men:

· Tywann Gipson

· Rodney Thomas Jr.
