Shreveport police searching for man accused of using counterfeit money at Home Depot

Shreveport, LA – On August 11, 2025, the Shreveport Police Department responded to the Home Depot on Bert Kouns after a man used counterfeit $100 bills to obtain more than $700 worth of merchandise.

Detectives identified the suspect as 29-year-old Paul Crowder, who has a history of counterfeiting offenses. Records show that he was arrested in Chicago in 2023 for using counterfeit bills created from bleached $10 notes.
