We could be getting closer to a final decision on the proposed pickleball park for south Shreveport. The economic development committee of the Caddo Commission agrees to put the matter before the full Commission for a vote.
And now, the Commission has voted 8-2 to move the project forward to the next agenda. The only 2 “no” votes came from Chris Kracman and Ron Cothran.
The Commission is proposing to spend $10 million dollars in revenue bonds to pay for the park which would be built on property next to the YMCA on Ellerbe Road. The Y would set up a long-term lease for the land with a very minimal price tag…
