Former Shreveport court employee arrested by Louisiana Bureau of Investigation on fraud charges

Officials from the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation have arrested a Shreveport man who previously worked for the Second Circuit Court of Appeal as its information technology director.

Maurice Williams, 43, allegedly altered an email from a former attorney in relation to reporting secondary income for workers’ compensation calculations.

He could face felony charges of misrepresentations concerning benefit payments, forgery, filing or maintaining false public records and perjury. An arrest warrant was issued Thursday, and Williams was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center with a bond set at $30,000…
