Shreveport, La. – A stretch of hot, dry weather will keep northwest Louisiana baking through early next week, with highs near 96 degrees expected each afternoon. The persistent heat is raising concerns for outdoor workers and those without reliable air conditioning.

According to the National Weather Service in Shreveport, temperatures will remain in the mid-90s through at least Tuesday, with overnight lows only dipping into the low 70s. Humidity levels will keep the heat index near or above triple digits during the peak of the day.
