SHREVEPORT, La. – If you’ve ever been intimidated by the idea of starting plants from seeds, fall is actually one of the best times to give it a try. That’s according to Akin’s Nursery’s Jennifer McGimsey, who says cooler weather makes seed starting much easier.
“Fall is a great time to venture out into the seed starting world because you can do it directly outside,” McGimsey explained. “You don’t have to worry about heat lamps or special lighting — just drop your seeds in the soil and you’ll have a lot of luck.”
