The Highland Center asks for help painting Shreveport’s largest street mural

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – After surveying the community, a final design for the street mural has been chosen. Now, the Highland Center is looking for volunteers!

After surveying around 100 people in the Highland neighborhood, The Highland Center determined that residents wanted a design that reflected the neighborhood’s diversity.

The final design for the mural features a theme of beautiful butterflies and a variety of bugs, and will possibly be the largest street mural in Shreveport.

On Sept. 20, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., a Community Paint Day will be held to create the vibrant crosswalk mural, which is to be located at 530 Olive Street…
