Louisiana leaders gather in Alexandria to tackle truancy crisis
A.C. Steere Elementary School’s Alyson Humphery Smith has been named a quarterfinalist for the 2026 GRAMMY Music Educator Award. Smith was selected from a pool of 200 teachers. The award honors impactful music educators. In total, more than 2,000 initial nominations were submitted.
