Utility upgrades, mentorship opportunities, and community improvements took center stage during Wednesday’s regular Bossier Parish Police Jury meeting.
Michael Corbin, External Affairs representative for Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO), delivered an update on ongoing and upcoming projects aimed at strengthening Bossier Parish’s power grid. Corbin detailed infrastructure improvements such as pole replacements, substation upgrades, and major transmission line rebuilds. He also noted plans awaiting approval for a new Brownlee Road substation and an expansion at the Halton substation—projects expected to enhance reliability for thousands of local customers.
