Shreveport’s Pickleball Craze Gets a New Hub: The Picklr at The Boardwalk.

As the Louisiana Boardwalk continues to struggle, a new plan is underway to turn things around, but not everyone is convinced. The Picklr has announced that the fast-growing indoor pickleball club will be opening a huge 39,000 square-foot location in the Louisiana Boardwalk, along the Red River. With an opening planned before the end of the year, it’s a clear move to revitalize the area by capitalizing on the craze surrounding the sport. The Picklr is positioned to be the saving grace for the Boardwalk, with a representative from The Picklr proclaiming, “We are proud to contribute to the revitalization of the Louisiana Boardwalk.

The plan becomes obvious on the surface. The Picklr is intended to attract Pickleball players to spend time at the Boardwalk, which would mean more foot traffic and more customers for the other stores, at least the stores that are still hanging around.
