For 14 years, Marilynn’s Place restaurant has been a local landmark, serving up heaping plates of South Louisiana specialties.
Diners sit in the bays of the former gas station, or outside in the drive through where the gas pumps used to be. There is gravel on the ground and mismatched tables and chairs. The place exudes neighborhood vibe.
For six years, Bob Thames has wanted to own Marilynn’s Place. Next week, he and a couple of his friends and investors will be given the keys.
