The protest had barely gotten underway Wednesday morning when five Bossier City and parish squad cars pulled up to the private office building housing U.S. Speaker Mike Johnson’s district office.
It was a small gathering — about 10 people, two of them kids, along with a dog named Shadow. Carrying signs and a bullhorn, they were there to speak out against the health care cuts at the heart of the impasse fueling the federal government shutdown that’s been ongoing since Oct. 1.
But before they could say much of anything, a man named John Moore, identifying himself as the owner of the property at 2250 Hospital Dr., called the police and told the media to leave.
