SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) –This week’s adorable Pet of the Week from Caddo Parish Animal Services is Velma, a sweet pup looking for her forever home.
Velma was found alongside her sister, Louise, after the two were discovered injured as strays. Shelter staff believe they may have been attacked by another dog. After receiving medical care, rest, and lots of love, Velma has fully recovered and is now ready to be adopted.
“Velma’s doing great now,” said Cam Freeman with Caddo Parish Animal Services. “She’s healed, spayed, and ready to meet her new family.”
Caddo Parish Animal Services is also hosting a Bissell Pet Foundation Adoption Event this Saturday, October 11, with reduced adoption fees of just $25.
