Strong threat of rain will postpone Golden Fork finale in downtown Shreveport

There will be no flying utensils or nail-biting moments Saturday night at the Louisiana Food Prize Golden Fork competition.

PrizeFest has pulled the plug- at least for this weekend- because of a 75% chance of rain at 6 p.m., the same time the outdoor chef-driven food fight is scheduled to begin.

Fest officials were unable to move the event to an indoor location at the last minute that would allow cooking and a crowd so they plan to reschedule soon…
