Shreveport Police Remove More Guns from Another Convicted Felon

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, a coordinated effort by several local law enforcement agencies resulted in the successful execution of an arrest warrant and the recovery of illegal weapons.

High-Risk Shreveport Suspect Apprehended

The operation, which took place in the 8500 block of Patricia Street, involved members of the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) Warrants Unit, and the SPD Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT). Officers located and arrested Clyde McConnell at the scene.

Prohibited Possession and Criminal History

During the arrest, investigators located and recovered two firearms. Further investigation confirmed that McConnell is a convicted felon and is legally prohibited from possessing firearms. His extensive criminal history includes previous convictions for domestic battery with serious bodily injury, domestic abuse with child endangerment, burglary, and various narcotics offenses.
