SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreveport city and school leaders are pleading for help to find whoever may be responsible for a house fire that killed two young sisters last week.
The blaze broke out around 1:35 a.m. Oct. 13 in the 3100 block of Milton Street. Fire crews arrived within minutes to find heavy flames coming from the home and reports of people trapped inside. Despite their efforts, Danielle Spearman, 5, and Aliyah Robinson, 9, were rescued from the burning home and later died from their injuries.
At a news conference Monday, Fire Chief Clarence Reese Jr. said investigators believe the fire may not have been accidental.
“Those babies, Danielle and Aliyah, were taken to the hospital and both have now been confirmed deceased,” Reese said. “I haven’t slept in a week. We need help from the public.”…
